Senior Consultant – Asset Management, Maintenance and Reliability - Melbourne

This full-time position will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • progressively assuming greater responsibility for client and assignment management

  • refine and improve our consulting methodologies.

Your Qualifications and Experience

Successful candidates will need to have:

  • more than five years’ experience, at least, in Asset Management, Maintenance Management or Reliability Engineering in a relevant industry sector
  • exposure to the successful implementation of improvements in Asset Management, Maintenance and Reliability performance
  • experience with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations
  • the ability to relate well to client staff, a high degree of self-motivation, and the initiative to work independently when required
  • able to engage effectively with stakeholders to resolve complex problems.
  • a bachelor’s degree qualification in a technical discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency

Will be highly advantageous if you have:

  • previous supervisory or line management experience
  • a certificate level qualification in a technical discipline such as Maintenance Management, Asset Management or Reliability
  • business or management qualifications, and
  • Previous consulting experience

Duties of the role

The consulting and training assignments may include work in one or more of, but not limited to the following areas:

  • ISO 55001 and Maintenance Systems Audits
  • Developing Maintenance and Asset Management Plans
  • Developing and Implementing improved Asset Management Processes and Practices in line with ISO 55001
  • Equipment Hierarchy Development
  • Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Improvement
  • Reliability Centred Maintenance/PM Optimisation
  • Selection and Implementation of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Shutdown Management Improvement
  • Defect Elimination and Root Cause Analysis

In addition, you will be also be responsible of:

  • coaching client staff one-on-one
  • understanding and interpreting client requirements to convert these into scopes of work
  • identifying opportunities for existing clients in areas related to previous work done
  • writing winning proposals for work
  • Effectively monitoring assignment progress against schedule and budget, ensuring that any variation to the original scope of work is identified and agreed with the client in a timely manner
  • assisting other team members with your knowledge and technical expertise

It is anticipated that this role will be primarily located in Melbourne but travel to client sites will be required.
