| Materials Management Analyst/Consultant
Assetivity is a specialised, fast growing consultancy, focusing on improving operational performance within the resources, utilities, process and heavy manufacturing industries. As a result of continued rapid growth, we are seeking a motivated individual, who is keen to “make a difference” in developing and implementing improvements within the Materials Management function at our varied range of resource sector and utilities clients.
This is a full-time, permanent position, with one of Australia’s leading specialist Operations/Asset Management Improvement consultancies. It will provide you with the opportunity to further hone your technical and interpersonal skills, working alongside some highly talented and internationally recognised consultants and leaders. It will also give you the opportunity to make a valued contribution to the operational success of some of the world’s leading resources companies. If you are one of the successful candidates, your initial focus will be on assisting in finding, winning, and performing consulting assignments, as well as coaching, mentoring and training our clients' staff in one or more of the following areas:
- Materials Management Reviews and Audits
- Materials/Inventory Management Business Process Improvement
- Transport and Logistics Improvement
- Spare Parts Cataloguing
- Spare Parts Optimisation
In the medium to longer term, there is also an opportunity for you to grow with us, developing your technical and interpersonal skills, progressively assuming greater responsibility for client and assignment management, and assisting with business development.
An attractive salary package, in the range from $90,000 to $150,000 per annum will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Your Experience
Hands-on experience in spare parts cataloguing and optimisation and warehouse management is essential. Supervisory/Management experience in a Warerhousing environment will also be highly regarded.
Diploma or Degree level qualifications in Supply, Business, Accounting or Management are almost essential. However candidates with extensive relevant practical experience may also be considered.
You will also need to demonstrate experience in the successful implementation of improvements in Supply performance. Your experience should include specific, demonstrable success in using sound, repeatable methodologies to implement improvements in two or more of the areas listed above. Additional experience with Six Sigma, Lean, Business Process Reengineering, and/or Value Analysis will also be regarded highly. Previous line management or supervisory experience will be well regarded.
Experience in the Mining, Mineral Processing, Oil & Gas, or other hazardous process industries is preferred, but we will also consider your job application if you have had operations, maintenance or management experience in other, relevant industries, such as Power Generation, Utilities, Defence, Aerospace or Heavy Manufacturing.
The ability to relate well to client staff at all levels is highly important, as is a high degree of self-motivation, and the capability to take the initiative and work independently when required.
